Two thoughts on this:

The book Flow talks about how we all enjoy work more when we’re absorbed in it. I wonder if people are enjoying it more as they care about it more, because they commit to it more? Like how watching TV is better without also staring at your phone at the same time.

Secondly, any link between work getting more important as more people choose not to have children?

Did you filter out people who don’t work or is this data for the whole population? I’d be curious if the data looks different if you exclude, retired, or nonworking adults…
