Love this, great analysis! Def having a look at the horizon scan.

One birth rate data point to add that I recently came across: a steep decline in teenage pregnancies. This when I was exploring the (very real) correlation between girls education and birth rates decline. The longer girls are in education, the less likely to get pregnant and push having any children forward, thus having fewer.

Important analysis .... but more research on the changing role - and aspirations - of women as the core driving force behind these changes is badly needed.
